Data Deletion

We believe you should have complete control over your data. This page explains how to delete your xpensli data and account.

Delete your account and all data

To permanently delete your xpensli account and all associated data:

  1. Sign in to your account at xpensli.app
  2. Go to Settings → Account
  3. Scroll to the bottom and click Delete Account
  4. Confirm your decision when prompted

What gets deleted:

  • Your account and profile information
  • All receipts and extracted data
  • Your Gmail connection and any stored access tokens
  • Your billing history and subscription (your Stripe payment method is removed)
  • All AI-generated categorizations and vendor learning data
  • Your accountant sharing links and tokens

What is retained:

  • Anonymized, aggregated data used to improve our AI models (no personally identifiable information)
  • Records required by law for tax and financial compliance purposes (retained for 7 years per IRS requirements)

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Allow up to 30 days for complete removal from all systems and backups.

Disconnect Gmail only

If you want to stop xpensli from accessing your Gmail without deleting your account:

  1. Go to Settings → Gmail
  2. Click Disconnect Gmail
  3. xpensli will immediately stop monitoring your inbox

You can also revoke access directly from your Google account:

  1. Go to myaccount.google.com/permissions
  2. Find xpensli in the list
  3. Click Remove Access

After disconnecting, any receipts already captured remain in your account. Only future Gmail monitoring stops.

Request data deletion by email

If you are unable to access your account or prefer to request deletion by email, contact us at privacy@xpensli.app.

Include your account email address in the request. We will process your request within 30 days and confirm when deletion is complete.

California residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to request deletion of your personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). To exercise this right, use any of the methods above or email privacy@xpensli.app with the subject line “CCPA Deletion Request.”
