We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Services, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.

Personal Information Provided by You. The personal information we collect may include: names, email addresses, usernames, passwords, contact or authentication data, billing addresses, and debit/credit card numbers.

Social Media Login Data. We may provide you with the option to register with us using your existing social media account details, like your Google account. If you choose to register in this way, we will collect certain profile information about you from the social media provider.

We process your personal information for the following purposes: to facilitate account creation and authentication, to deliver and facilitate delivery of services to the user, to respond to user inquiries and offer support, to send administrative information, to fulfill and manage your orders, to request feedback, to send you marketing and promotional communications, to protect our Services, to identify usage trends, and to save or protect an individual’s vital interest.

3. What legal bases do we rely on to process your information?

In Short: We only process your personal information when we believe it is necessary and we have a valid legal reason to do so under applicable law.

If you are located in the EU or UK: We rely on Consent, Performance of a Contract, Legitimate Interests, Legal Obligations, and Vital Interests as our legal bases for processing.

As part of our Services, we offer products, features, or tools powered by artificial intelligence, machine learning, or similar technologies (collectively, “AI Products”). We provide the AI Products through third-party service providers, including Anthropic. Your input, output, and personal information will be shared with and processed by these AI Service Providers to enable your use of our AI Products.

Our AI Products are designed for image analysis and text analysis — specifically for processing and categorizing receipts and expense documents.

How to Opt Out: You can opt out by logging in to your account settings and updating your user account, or by contacting us using the contact information provided.

6. How do we handle your social logins?

In Short: If you choose to register or log in to our Services using a social media account, we may have access to certain information about you.

Our Services offer you the ability to register and log in using your Google account details. Where you choose to do this, we will receive certain profile information about you from Google, including your name, email address, and profile picture. We will use the information we receive only for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice.

However, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.

In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.

We do not knowingly collect, solicit data from, or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 years old. Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases, subject to legal retention requirements.

11. Controls for do-not-track features

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online.

13. Google API Services and Gmail data usage

xpensli’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. xpensli uses Gmail API access solely to read receipt and invoice emails for the purpose of automatic expense tracking. We do not use Gmail data for advertising purposes, do not allow humans to read user email unless required by law or with explicit user consent, do not transfer Gmail data to third parties except as necessary to provide the expense tracking service, and do not use Gmail data for any purpose other than providing and improving the xpensli expense tracking features.
